At Revitalize, microneedling is done with the Rejuvapen, an FDA cleared device. Microneedling with serum is a rejuvenating treatment that involves using a specialized tool with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface, allowing for better absorption of a nourishing serum, resulting in improved skin texture and a more youthful appearance.
RESULTS: Between your first appointment and your desired results, you will notice a gradual improvement, usually within 6 to 8 weeks of your first appointment. A series of appointments may be necessary depending on skin goals.

Microneedling with PRP combines the benefits of microneedling and Platelet-Rich Plasma to enhance the rejuvenation process. This minimally invasive procedure helps promote collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars to the face and neck.
RESULTS: The results of PRP for anti-aging take several weeks to become apparent because the body needs some time to create new cells.
Patients usually experience smooth skin for at least 12 months after their initial set of sessions.

Under-eye PRP is a specialized service designed to target and rejuvenate the delicate skin under the eyes, reducing dark circles and improving overall skin texture for a more youthful appearance. Our advanced PRP technology stimulates collagen production, promoting natural healing and long-lasting results.
RESULTS: Results will be noticed following the 1st treatment. Recommend 2-3 treatments, 2-3 months apart for significant results lasting 6-12 months.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, elicits the body's natural wound healing with controlled micro-injuries (small needle punctures) to the skin. This process results in production of collagen and healthier skin tissue by enhancing the penetration of PRP or peptides, which are applied during your microneedling session.
This can be used to improve your acne scars, surgical scars, melasma, sun damage, stretch marks, sagging skin, wrinkles, and large pores.

The area that microneedling can be used include:
full face (most common)
neck (most common)
chest
abdomen
inner thighs

Microneedling prep is one of the most important steps to the procedure. Being ready is vital to getting the most out of the treatment and to prevent potential issues from cropping up.
One of the most important answers to what to do before microneedling is to ensure your skin is in a calm state. That means that you aren’t using a bunch of products to treat your skin.
You should avoid exfoliating in the days leading up to the treatment. If you use acne medications, you may need to discontinue use for several weeks to months before microneedling.
You should also avoid topical retinoids and antibiotics for at least a week before your appointment. Don’t take any over-the-counter pain medications, such as ibuprofen, which can interfere with proper healing.
Be sure to wear sunscreen on your face during the two weeks before your appointment. Avoid shaving, waxing, or using any hair removal products on your skin during the week before your treatment.

You will be provided with post a treatment skin care regimen, along with instructions.
Your skin can be flushed or even bright red when you leave your visit. Within 48 hours, the majority of the redness you experience will resolve. Although not everyone will experience side effects, these may include: pimples, acne, and dry skin. Peeling, flaking and breakouts may take a little longer to resolve.
The majority of the visible healing after microneedling takes place in the first couple of days following treatment, however healing will continue beneath the skin’s surface for up to two months. By taking good care of your skin, side effects may be reduced.

PRP requires a blood draw (which doesn't take extra time, as we allow numbing cream to sit on the treatment area for 20 minutes) is particularly great for reducing wrinkles and fine lines since it increases collagen and skin elasticity. Most people who undergo PRP enhanced microneedling usually see quicker effects for more intense skin issues. PRP effects also tend to last longer, possibly even 12-18 months.
Peptide serum does not require a blood draw; effects may last about 3-5 months. If works the same as PRP but may take more treatments to achieve the same results.
PRP and peptide serum both work on any skin tone or type. Both processes also require multiple treatments, seeing benefits after the first 2 weeks.

Under-eye PRP requires a blood draw to extract fresh platelets. These are then injected under the eye (the area of the tear troughs) after having numbing cream applied to the area for approximately 20 minutes. There are usually 5 injection sites on each side; we utilize the needle technique at Revitalize.
There is virtually no downtime afterwards!
These injections of PRP are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this area. PRP stimulates the production of new collagen which works to tighten the loose skin around the eyes; eliminating under-eye bags and improving the appearance of crows feet. Its also an excellent way to treat dark circles, puffiness, and discoloration around the eyes.
Best part = you're using your own platelets! This significantly reduces the risk of an adverse reaction (secondary to normal bruising) and does not require filler that has the potential to migrate.

If you have an active cold sore/fever blister, treatment will need to be delayed.
Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve (all non-steroidal and steroidal anti-inflammatory agents), Gingko Biloba, Garlic,Flax Oil, Cod liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids for 2 weeks prior to and 3 weeks after your treatment. Remember, we are creating inflammation, to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration.
Avoid vigorous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 5 days post treatment.
Minimize Alcohol, caffeine, and cigarettes for 2 days before and after treatment to decrease the risk of bleeding/bruising.
Smokers do not heal well and problems recur earlier and results may take longer.
Maintain a healthy diet and drink 4 - 6 large glasses of water the day of the treatment.
End results depend on many factors, including the aggressiveness of the treatment, adherence to post treatment care regimen, proper nutrition and good general health. The most important being the degree of cumulative sun and environmental damage to your skin and tissues.
Treatments are designed to maximize the results of the treatment within safe and predictable parameters. The number of treatments needed cannot always be accurately predicted, even under the best of circumstances. Appropriate intervals between treatments are needed to allow the healing process to complete the cycle. The next treatment is then decided upon, given the results of the previous one.
Good general health is the key to excellent and predictable outcomes by supporting your cells to work well and promote healing.
