Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the body, known for its excellent hydrating properties. This feature makes it a popular choice for cosmetic treatments, particularly for addressing nasolabial folds, which are the lines that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
As people age, the skin loses elasticity and volume, leading to the development of these folds. HA injectables can help restore volume and plump the skin, smoothing out these lines. The gel-like consistency of HA allows it to fill the creases effectively, providing immediate results with minimal downtime.
Hyaluronic acid is an effective option for reducing the appearance of nasolabial folds, providing a non-surgical approach to achieve a more youthful appearance.
RESULTS: Typically lasts 9-12+ months

Minimal downtime is expected. The majority of reactions to dermal fillers are redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness after the injections. These usually subside a few days after the treatment but can last up to a week.
Avoid immunizations & dental procedures (including cleaning) for at least 2 weeks post filler.
Cold compresses may be used after the treatment to reduce swelling and decrease soreness.
You may take Tylenol every 4-6 hours after the treatment to help with any discomfort you may have.

A follow-up appointment after receiving dermal fillers is an essential step in ensuring optimal results and addressing any concerns. Typically scheduled 2-4 weeks after the initial treatment (either in person or over the phone), this visit allows for an assessment of the filler’s final aesthetic outcome and any adjustments if necessary.
During the follow-up, your provider will evaluate the treated areas for symmetry and overall appearance. It’s important to discuss your experience, including any swelling, bruising, or discomfort you may have had post-treatment. Most side effects are temporary and resolve within a few days, but any lasting issues should be brought to your provider’s attention.
It is also advisable to monitor the treated areas over the following weeks. Note any changes and do not hesitate to reach out to your provider if you notice anything concerning. Regular communication is key to ensuring a satisfactory outcome and your comfort with the results.

Typically, the final results will be most noticeable within a few days post-treatment. The duration of the results usually lasts around 12 months, depending on individual metabolism and lifestyle factors.
